"I don't care what state you come from - - or what state your mind is in," Johns's inviting warbling exudes on "Down."
Co-written by Nashville Songwriter's Hall of Famer Byron Hill (a pen behind "Fool Hearted Memory" and oh-so-many-more memories), the soothing melody of "Back Porch Gettin' Down" is delivered via Johns's twinge of David Ball-like vocals to remind that there's nothing like a good time in your backyard (and maybe a mandolin) to properly help the summer soak in. Listen to the song via the video embedded below.(Coming full-house-circle; another track to be found on this coming-soon album is "Front Porch Revival" by Crystal Yates). Previous Summer collections have included songs recorded by Joe Diffie and Halfway 2 Hazard. Find out more about Royce Johns by visiting his Facebook page. Just to clarify, this song "Back Porch Gettin Down" was written by Mac Gayden and Byron Hill, While it's performed by Royce Johns he is not the writer or co-writer
