By now maybe you've already heard talk about the Randy Travis memoir, Forever and Ever, Amen: A Memoir of Music, Faith, and Braving the Storms of Life released in May. And how he bravely made some CMA Fest rounds and meet-and-greets. What you may not know about the legendary true-life tale, though; is that it's available on audiobook - and told by a wordsmith who's seen his own share of battles. Touchingly narrated by award-winning songwriter Rory Feek, the Forever and Ever, Amen audiobook version exclusively features Feek's memories and personal reflections of Randy. (SIGN UP for a free 30-day Audible trial with Amazon; including two free downloads here). There is an Audible preview clip of the book on Amazon also.

“We all have mountains to climb and battles to fight—I’m no different. It’s my hope that someone may read my story, and either be inspired to keep up the fight and/or detour off the roads that are dead-ends,” he says. “I have always been transparent in the mistakes I’ve made—the book is no different.” - Randy Travis in Billboard

With the help of New York Times Best-Selling Author, Ken Abraham, and Travis’ wife Mary, this memoir recounts the singer’s journey of perseverance and redemption from his early childhood memories up until the book was penned, recovering from a life-changing stroke and painful divorce, enjoying the life he was given and learning to “sing a new song.”

PS: Speaking of new songs - don't believe the hype that there's a "new" single from Randy Travis out there. Yes, "One in a Row" is new to the public; however, it's previously recorded. -TCC

    About

Hi. I'm a member of the country club. Country Music is what I love.

Are you somewhere that you don't belong? Without a jukebox and a country song? Maybe you came here seeking a nice, bright, sunny, resort-y kind of place. The kind of place festooned with ferns. Maybe this was even your LAST resort. We hope not. But don't worry, we still have the best of intentions with this blog - you might not find a lot of tennis but we still intend to raise a racket now and then. (In other words --- although you will sometimes find press releases here we net ORIGINAL content too).
