News via Country Aircheck: Country Music Hall of Famer Kenny Rogers passed away from natural causes last night (3/20) at 10:25pm CT surrounded by family while in hospice care. He was 81. Rogers' multi-award winning career spanned more than six decades with crossover success and chart toppers including "The Gambler," "Lady," "Islands In The Stream," "Lucille," "She Believes In Me" and "Through The Years." With 24 No. 1 hits, six CMA Awards, three Grammy Awards, the CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award and CMT Artist of a Lifetime Award to his credit, Rogers took his place in the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013. The family is planning a small, private service at this time due to concern surrounding the national coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. They look forward to celebrating Rogers' life publicly with friends and fans at a later date.
