JUST ANNOUNCED: As a further testament to these sad times in which we live, the legendary Grand Ole Opry has made the landmark decision to join the cancellation due to COVID-19 bandwagon and will be no longer be open to in-person audiences until (as of this time) April 4th. All non-Saturday shows are cancelled until further notice. This change uncertainly impacts important Opry events such as Rhonda Vincent's induction to the revered institution on March 24th. Other previously scheduled upcoming Opry guests include Aaron Tippin, The Bellamy Brothers, Mark Wills, Mandy Barnett, and Elizabeth Cook. This will impact the extra-special Opry Country Classics shows hosted by Larry Gatlin also - for which next Thursday's (March 19th) show Doug Stone was scheduled to be the spotlight artist. For the official Opry statement please see below. -MC
